What you may do with it

Everything on this site is free: the book, the exercise books in R, JASP and SPSS, the toys and the tables, the archive. Read it, download it, print it, work through it — that is what it is here for.

For yourself: go ahead

Whether you are a student, a teacher, a psychologist, a researcher, or you want to teach yourself statistics — use what you need. You don’t have to ask, and you don’t have to give anything back.

Linking is always fine

Want to send someone here — a colleague, a friend, your class? Share the link. Put it in an email, a forum post, your course guide or your syllabus. Pointing people here is never something to ask permission for; it is exactly what I hope you will do.

Degree programmes: please get in touch first

If a programme wants to build the material into its teaching — as required reading, in its virtual learning environment, in a course reader, as course material — I would like to hear about it beforehand. Mail me at vragen@countcamp.org, and we will agree on something that works for both of us.

The difference is between linking to and building in: anyone may link to the site, always; making the material itself part of a curriculum starts with a conversation. That goes for the book and for the exercise books alike.

Support

I build CountCamp in the hours around my paid work. I would much rather work on it full-time — more room simply means more book: chapters that aren’t there yet, exercise books that could be better. If you would like to help that along, you can do so here.

The account is in the name of my sole-trader business. Any amount is welcome — once, or not just the once.

It goes to Triodos, because I want to know what happens to my money while it’s lying idle.

And anyone who gives nothing reads exactly the same book. That’s the idea.
